‘Holud’ as we say in Bangla or Turmeric is in an essential part of any South Asian kitchen. Studies have shown that the active compound called curcumin in turmeric is the hidden gem when it comes to weight loss. Turmeric’s anti-inflammatory properties and anti-obesity potential can help cut the inches and bulges in a healthy way.

The best ways to indulge in the world of Turmeric is by adding a spoon or two in luke warm water and having it first thing in the morning. You can also add cinnamon for better taste.

3. Ghee

Even though this might feel impossible, don’t feel shocked and attacked. Most people believe ghee or clarified butter is absolutely fattening and not to be touched when trying to loose weight but research shows that ghee consists of an essential type of omega - 6 fatty acid and soluble vitamins which help burn stubborn fat when consumed in a small amount, preferably one tea spoon everyday.

Now we are not vouching for the products you find in container cans from supermarkets but what we can say is pure homemade ghee that is extracted from cow’s milk works wonders to help reduce the excess belly fat you hate.
